Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
JazakAllahu khayran for raising this important topic. I completely agree that there is tremendous potential to serve English-speaking Muslims and those interested in learning about Islam.
In my view, one of the biggest challenges is not only producing more English content, but also standardising it. We already have many valuable translations, articles, tafsir, and hadith resources, but they are often spread across different websites, formats, and licences. This makes it difficult for developers to integrate them into applications consistently.
If the community could work towards common standards for datasets, APIs, metadata, references, and licensing, it would become much easier for developers to build reliable Islamic applications in English and, eventually, many other languages.
So I believe the need is twofold: continue creating high-quality English content while also investing in standardisation and open infrastructure. That would benefit the entire ecosystem rather than individual projects alone.
May Allah bless your efforts and make your work a means of benefit for people around the world.
